VICTORY DAY 07 JANUARY 2012
Today marks the 33rd anniversary of the fall of the Khmer Rouge. This national holiday is also called Victory over Genocide Day. It marks the day in 1979 that Vietnamese troops entered Cambodia and began an assault that ended the bloody regime of the Khmer Rouge. It is estimated that as many as two million Cambodians were killed during the nearly four years that Pol Pot of the Khmer Rouge ruled the country. The celebration is viewed with mixed emotions by many Cambodians, since the holiday also marks the beginning of Cambodian dependence on Vietnam.
A moment of silence to those who were lost, we will never forget your struggle.

SHE’S KILLING IT. If you’ve never experienced the beauty of the Cambodian countryside, you’re sleeping. It’s peaceful and timeless….
BTW, stole this one from PEAP who snapped it from Visal, thanks homies!

Sihanouk Boulevard, Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Winter 2011.
This city keeps growing, you can actually feel the momentum increasing. I’ve only been here two months and I gotta say, I’m blown away.
Much love & peace to you all. Happy Holidays!
